hi, i used to be on O2 mobile network but transferred to other network.. i would just like to ask for the network unlocking code of my iPhone 3G, my old numbers are 08xxxxxxxx & 08xxxxxxxxx.. i want to use this phone to my country when i go for a holiday, next month. the IMEI No. x.. Can you please contact me thru my number or email address or thru this message thread.. thank you.

Hi, i received a text message yesterday from O2 informing me that Apple have confirmed the iPhone IMEI xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is set to unlock. To complete, connect the device to iTunes with a SIM never used in the iPhone.
I tried this, but i don't if it's working or not. it just keeps on searching. hoping to resolve my problem soon.

pretty sure you should use the original sim when unlocking?

If your carrier has unlocked your iPhone, after connecting your iPhone to iTunes, you should see this message:
"Unlock Complete. Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked. To set up and sync this iPhone, click Continue."
This article explains what to do if you do not see the above message, or if iTunes displays this message:
"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store."

Only some carriers offer the ability to unlock iPhone for use on any carrier. After a carrier applies an unlock, connecting your iPhone to iTunes allows iTunes to unlock your iPhone. iTunes displays the "unlock complete" message above the first time you connect a newly unlocked iPhone (or an unlocked iPhone that has been restored).
Note: Restoring an iPhone requires the unlock to be reapplied to the iPhone. iTunes displays the "unlock complete" message above after the restore completes.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot unlock issues. Test after each step.

it doesn't even display this message iTunes displays this message:
"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store."
when you mean iTunes, it's only the screen that shows the device that's connected? if in case, it will just appear on the screen like a note? i don't have the original SIM, what can i do?

i've inserted an O2 sim that hasn't been used in an iPhone.. haven't receive any confirmation whether it's unlocked or not..
