I requested the network unblocking code for my LG. I've tried twice to enter it but nothing is happening. What should I do?

I'm trying to unlock mine too. Have got the unlock code off O2 but where am I supposed to enter it? Just in the dialpad is it? It just tries to ring the number then. Need help please.

Okay, can you dial 2945#*71001# and then enter the unlock code and press OK.

I am abroad at present so currently operating my o2 sim on Movistar network, would that be the problem? When I dial that number it says invalid code or connection problem. Is there a way I can do this abroad?

To enter unlock code for LG, You need to insert sim card from network which is phone currently working and enter unlock sequence mode 2945#*xxx# where xxx is the model of LG phone numbers, for example, for KU990 enter 2945#*990#, GT540 enter 2945#*540#. Then you get a hidden menu where you can enter unlock code.

Have my network unlock code from o2 but when i try to enter it, the "service provider unlock" option which i need is greyed out along with four other options. The only option i can click on "network unlock", responds with "Not available" Please help me

Yes please, if you can enter the sim from another network then enter the sequence above to finish the unlock.

When I enter another sim it just says "USIM Locked" and just has emergency call

These are the two ways to unlock this as per Lg's information for the P350 Optimus ME.

Can you try both for me?


1. Insert not allowed SIM card
2. Power on the handset phone will display phone restricted
3. Select Cancel phone will display phone restriction code
4. Enter the SIM unlock code
5. Select OK the handset is now successfully unlocked
OR
1. Power on your phone with the original SIM card
2. Enter 2945#*350#
3. A menu will pop up, select Unlock USIM then Network
4. Enter code Sent and press ok

Sorry I must be on the wrong thing, I have an LG GS290

Can you try the same procedure but using 2945#*290# for the code for the GS290?

Yes i've tried that but the options are greyed out so I can't click them, except for "network unlock" and when i click that it just says not available

In that case you'll need to contact LG directly in relation to that, it sounds like an issue on the software on the phone.
