Hi,

I've recently bought a samsung galaxy ace and everytime somebody sends me a picture message it comes up that i

have to go online and view it and also i can't send picture messages. Can i fix this problem my self or would i need to go into 02?

I can fix it for you.

Restart your phone in about 15/20 minutes and it should be working for all future messages.

I have the same problem, i have a samsung galaxy mini, i have been onto o2 3 times costing me phone  calls, i went into the o2 shop in blanchardstown they could fix it, im told its to do with my account settings but 3 weeks later i still have no mutli media service i reall am sick of it at this stage, last night on the phone help line they told me sms is down at the moment so i said can i have a call back tomorrow after me going into shop and me making all the calls, the lady wouldn call me back. im going to look online now to see about changing networks, im with o2 sonce the invention of mobiles.

So when an MMS is sent to you, you are directed to go online to view it?

One other thing, can you press the power button and activate data mode.

Can you allow about 2-3 hours and then retry for me? Our technical team have reset that here and asked me to remove and reapply the picture messaging and test this with you.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I can't send or receive picture messages. I have a new Galaxy mini since Christmas, and I received my first picture msg yesterday. It just has a button saying download, I click it and nothing happens. i tried sending one as a test yesterday and it still says sending and no credit is used.

As you're using an Android phone can you click here (http://bit.ly/sUb3MR) to see the manual settings and make sure that they match up? Then restart the phone and try sending another MMS.

Thanks - I changed some of them to blank, restarted, and it's still the same. One message (to myself) sending and still can't open the one I received yesterday.

The one from yesterday won't work anyway as it was sent/received with the old setup, so you might as well delete it altogether.

I'm going to make a change here to your account, can yo give it 30 minutes, then turn off and on your phone and try sending a new MMS to yourself?

Hi,

It's still the same, I turned the phone off at 4.20 and back on at 4.28. Tried sending a picture message to myself and it is still sending, the same as the others.

It has gone through here on our side, could you try your sim in another phone to rule out a handset issue?

It's not working from my old phone either. I used to be able to send and receive picture messages no problem.

My old phone is not a smartphone if that matters. It's not sending anyway from my o2 settings.
