Gmails Contacts not Syncing after ICS Update

Hi,

I received my ICS update back on the 20th April, and all appeared to be fine, process worked straight through without issue.

However i have just noticed that my GMail Contacts (only the contacts, not Gmail) have not been syncing since the update installed. I have have tried various solutions found on the web, clearing caches etc, but it just wont sync. 

I would prefer not to have to delete the full account, as i am not sure how many new contacts that i have added since 20th April, and i dont want to risk losing anything.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi, if you back up everything to your phone's PC software eg. PC Companion on Sony Ericsson. it would be safe to do a hard reset. Which phone is it?

its a HTC Sensation XE, and i cannot believe that there is not a better workaround than a factory reset. That usually causes more issues than it fixes.

any other suggestions ?

Not that I am aware of at this time.

You could Google the issue and see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
