Transferring Business account to Personal

I am due to move jobs and would ike to keep my mobile number which is currently part of my employer's business account. I know it is fairly straight forward to do when moving from O2 business to O2 personal. However, what I would like to do is move to Meteor after having my number ownership transferred to myself. Is there an easy way to do this?

The easiest way to do this is to move the number from the company account to a prepay account.

If you move it to a personal bill account, you will go into contract and would then be charged if you moved the number to Meteor

Re: Transferring Business account to Personal

So myself and the authorised contact for the company account went to the O2 Store this afternoon to complete transfer of ownership. We were informed that this is not possible until the contract attached to my number has been settled for the remainder of the term (December 2012).

I know that previously people have left the company, taking their numbers, without having to settle the contract. I also have done this myself before when leaving another company. I am wondering what options are available to myself and the employer in this situation?

The number can be moved off the account providing there is still an active number on the account.

Can you tell mew what store you were in please?

Hi Olga_B

I was speaking with the account Manager who has advised he has been in touch with you regarding this?

Re: Transferring Business account to Personal

Thanks a lot - I'll check with the employer who may have been speaking with the account manager - I haven't heard from him and so assumed he had not spoken to anyone yet. Thanks for your help!
