I am eligible for a silver upgrade. I want to use my upgrade to purchase an iPhone 4s16gb without contract which I want to give to a friend. Can you advise I. Can do this without going to a store?

If you use your upgrade, you will have to go into a contract as the upgrade gives a discount off the cost of the phone for going into contract.

Hi Michelle My husband when he upgraded was able to purchase the iPhone which he gave to me by getting a blank sim and it was activated under my number. Has this practice changed?

No it hasn't but his number would have gone into a new contract for the upgrade, it is up to him what he does with the phone after.

If you use your upgrade, your number will go into a new contract, you can give to phone to someone then if you wish but you will be in contract for a phone you do not have
